While protecting such areas with Foam Extinguishing Systems, detailed standard knowledge, detailed product knowledge and application experience are inevitable requirements for the success of the system. AKSAY Yangın works in cooperation with SOLBERG to eliminate industrial risks or minimize their damage.
Foam extinguishing systems can be designed automatically or manually. In industrial areas, systems are designed automatically due to reasons such as the size of the risks, rapid spread, the difficulty of controlling the risk after the risk occurs and the risk of fire spreading due to late intervention. For this purpose, Wet Pipe Foam Sprinkler Systems, Pre-Action; Non Interlock, Single Interlock, Double Interlock Systems and Deluge Foam Extinguishing Systems are preferred.
AKSAY has been recognized with Foam Extinguishing Systems since the day it was founded and is one of the leading companies in the sector working on the protection of especially petrochemical sector, where fast flammables are used, with foam extinguishing systems. AKSAY has designed hundreds of Foam Extinguishing Systems since its establishment and continues to carry out the maintenance service of the systems.
SOLBERG products are made of stainless steel and bronze materials that can operate in heavy ambient conditions.
One of the most important components of Foam Extinguishing Systems is foam stations. Foam stations are classified and named according to the application method, that is, the principle of mixing water and concentrate.
- Horizontal or Vertical Bladder Tank Proportioning Systems
- Turbine Type Atmospheric Tank Proportioning Systems with Hydraulic Motor
- Diesel or Electric Engine Pumped and Atmospheric Tank Proportioning Systems
- Atmospheric Tank Proportioning Systems with inline inductor
Especially Bladder Tank Type proportioning systems are frequently preferred because they do not require external energy and use line pressure for proportioning. Nowadays, especially with the increase in production quality, hydraulic motorized proportioning systems are also coming to the forefront. Foam proportioners with hydraulic motors and atmospheric tanks fed by different energy sources are preferred when the concentrate capacity exceeds the Diaphragm Tank production range. Inline inductors are calibrated and supplied at the manufacturer’s facility to the determined constant pressure and flow value, but they cannot make correct proportioning when the pressure and flow balance is disturbed, and more importantly, they are not preferred because they are not available in UL Listed or FM certified production. Especially Diaphragm Tank Proportioning Systems are UL, FM approved, Hydraulic Motorized Atmospheric Tank systems are just FM approved.
In addition to the classical foam concentrates such as AFFF, AFFF AR, P, FP, FP AR, FFFP, FFFP AR, which are frequently used today, new generation fluorine-free “Re-Healing” or “Flourine Free”, that is, “Environmentally Friendly” Foam Concentrates appear. Expansion rates vary depending on the equipment used. Mixing ratios of 1%, 3%, 6% or 1×3, 3×3 or 3×6 for Alcohol derived foams are often in question.
Foam Fire Protection Systems are often designed in accordance with NFPA 11, NFPA 16, NFPA 30 or EN 13565 standards.
AKSAY Yangın performs Design, Engineering Calculations, Procurement, Installation – Testing and Commissioning and Contracted Maintenance services of Foam Extinguishing Systems in cooperation with SOLBERG with its trained engineers and technicians.
