Cylinders: Amerex Vehicle Extinguishing System cylinders are manufactured from the highest quality materials. The cylinders are made of steel and coated with an epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat, which offers excellent corrosion resistance. The valve is brass and has a pressure gauge planned to be protected in harsh environments. The cylinders are shipped filled with continuously pressurized ABC or Purple K dry chemical.

Control Panel : The system status is continuously monitored by the Control Panel and communicated to the vehicle operator via visual LED indicators and audible alarm. The Control Panel is connected to the system wiring with modular color-coded, snap-lock connectors.
Detection Network: Fire detection can be provided by fixed temperature thermostats, linear cable type heat detectors, linear tubing or Safe-IR detectors. Any combination of these detection elements can also be used if required.
Nozzles and Distribution Line : The extinguishing agent is delivered to the danger zone through fixed, high capacity, fast flowing, brass nozzles. To transport the extinguishing agent to the nozzles, copper, stainless steel pipe or flexible steel reinforced hoses and fittings recommended by the manufacturer can be used between the cylinder and the pipe network.
