Extinguishing Mechanism:
Unlike many other extinguishing agents, DSPA Aerosol interferes with the chain reaction in a fire, leaving oxygen levels intact.
OH, H and O radicals released as a result of combustion support combustion. DSPA Aerosol suppresses the fire first by chemically interfering with these free radicals in the fire zone, thus interrupting the chain reaction necessary for the fire to continue.
DSPA Aerosol is a fire extinguishing agent consisting of finely divided solid particles, mainly potassium particles, typically about 2 microns in diameter. The small aerosol particles provide a large surface area to capture these radicals, making them effective extinguishing agents.
Aerosol systems can be designed using UL 2775, EN15276 – 1/2 and NFPA 2010 standards according to the standard applicable in your country. When designing, especially the amount of extinguishing agent required by the standard you use should be calculated by determining the actual application density by expanding it with a 30% safety factor. The area to be protected with aerosol systems should be examined very well, the protection design of the system should be determined by a trained application engineer, and the field layout should be made in accordance with the manufacturer’s manual and design standard.
Aerosol systems can be installed manually, with detection support or thermocord (self-activation). When electrical activation is used, it can be integrated into the general detection system of your facility via the control panel used. In particular, Aerosol Extinguishing System for each independent section is designed and installed independently.
The DSPA – 8 product group is especially designed for manual use. It is designed for fire brigades and extinguishing teams of industrial facilities to activate the product by pulling the pin and send it to the fire area.
AKSAY Yangın performs Aerosol Extinguishing Systems Design, Preliminary Engineering Calculations, Procurement, Installation-Testing and Commissioning and Contracted Maintenance services in cooperation with DSPA with its trained engineers and technicians.
